a cold summer day

Salam, and hello, people!

Ramadhan kareem. and happy fasting too. ^^

It was really hot thorough the week, but since yesterday the weather became cold for summer. on Wednesday it was 35degrees and now it's around 20degrees! I love it. hehe In Japan especially, and I think in other countries too, people talk about weather when they meet someone who are not close enough to talk about more personal staff. Am I right? How about your country? Anyway, yesterday, I was in an elevator with my friend, and I ask them like how is your exam, and said that "It's pretty cold, today", expecting nothing from, just wanted to try to make a conversation because I thought it's weird if we didn't speak any in same elevator. What he replied is, "well, don't complain". Like, WHAT?? did I sound like I'm complaining?? I love ALL kind of weather, ok. Windy, rainy, shiny, or even storm! I love them! I though I was a kind of person who rarely complain about weathers so I was shocked when he said that, but I tried to smile and say "yeah I like this kind of weather". Then I walked very fast without turning (we were going to same place.)

Maybe from next time, I should not talk about weather because people might think I don't like it. Hah, I thought it was the safest topic for everybody. lol Maybe I should add how much I like that kind of weather. Or just shut up and let it be awkward. =,=

You know what?? I already got my new baby!!! yay! I will make a review on it because many people came to this blog by googling GF5 review. Please wait for a while till I finish all my reports and exams. ;)

thank you for reading.

flower flower flower!!

Salam and hello, people. :)

It definitely getting warmer each day, and since few days ago, the most famous flower in Japan already started to bloom, the sakura or cherry blossom! Sakura flowers last for only less than a week so in this season, Japanese people love to go to picnic and enjoy having a good time and food with friends and family. This event is called "Hanami" or flower seeing and parks will be reaaaly crowded with so many kind of people who comes to have party under sakura trees.

For last 2years I didn't go to hanami for some reasons but I still could enjoy walking under full bloomed sakura trees and reading some books under the tree because there are so many sakura trees along side of the road to my uni. They planted sakura and Icyou(Ginko) tree next to each other so the road will be full with pale pink sakura patels in early April and will be full with yellow Ginko leaves in Autumn. How cool is that?? Actually, one of the reasons why I chose this university is that!lol.

Last Saturday I went hanaming to Yoyogi Park but before that I ran to see a doctor, I cut my finger accidently on Thursday and it was my 2nd time visit to change the bandage. :( He wrapped my hand and wrist as if I broke my finger and people keep asking ne what happened. haha. Seriously I almost fainted so many time while trying to stop bleeding because the cut was a little bit deeper than usual knife cut and I'm kind of person who faint easily when I see a lot of blood. But it was ok la, then I had chance to walk around my uni and feel the lively air, untill now many people come to my uni and the road to enjoy their spring walk, it's quite annoying. :(

That's all.
Hope you have wonderful day too!

Some Jazz in Autumn

Salam<3

It's autumn already<3

Today, it was a little bit tiring but amazing! I did a volunteer in this one event near my town, aimed to unite people in town with music. It's called Power Jazz, and one of my friends is it's staff so I decide to see what is she and her friends doing.

Unfortunately I had a meeting to attend (wow sounds like a busy lady hah?lol) so I couldn't be there until the main concert but although I only stayed there until around 2pm, I could feel how exciting what they are doing. They invited soooo many musicians for main concert, had few free gigs in main street of town, many restaurants and cafes gave support to them and held night shows in their shows, and I was really amazed.

My only task was to pass out leaflet but I quite enjoyed it, many people came asked me where am I from rather than what event we were doing!lol One man came and asked "Are you Indian?" and I said "No, I'm Malaysian" then he stared at me really closely and said "You looks like Japanese and sound like Japanese too, we are same Asian, I won't know that you were foreigner if you are not wearing that(hijab)", so I just giggled and gave the leaflet. It was quite funny and scary at the same time haha. Then this lady and her husband came, the lady asked me what we were doing do I told her that we have big jazz concert this afternoon and if they don't have much time, they can enjoy free gigs near the Starbucks around there. She was surprised and say "Oh you speak Japanese really well!" and she and her husband walked away while still talking about ME and not the concert!lol I guess I (I know, it's not me by my hijab :p ) really attracts people, till people cannot focus on what I are doing. hehe I think it was funny. Another man came with his friends, all of them were carrying analog cameras, gosh I want one!, and he suddenly talked to me in Malaysian language/Indonesian language "kamu dari mana(where are you from?" so I replied "I am from Malaysia". He said that he lived in Jakarta for 5years. We talked in Malaysian/Indonesian and he and his friend asked to take a photo of me. So I smiled, posing with my leaflet on my hands.

It was really nice to had a chance to converse with local people, especially people in town. When I was walking back to my university's hall, a man in wheelchair talked to me as if it's a natural thing to do. Note: It is reaaaaaally rare for a Japanese to have a conversation with random people on street, they won't talk to you unless they are sweet obachan(auntie) or curious ojiichan(grandpa).lol We walked together untill the university, and there is a zebra cross, and we crossed together. I think they made it(carriageway) slightly curved so that rain water will not go into road but into drains at side but that slight hill is  big to people on wheel chair, he said "I always have trouble going up this". Although he was quite fit(he is an athlete representing Tokyo!) and we people without wheelchair usually won't notice that the road is slightly curve or won't even bother about little bump about 2cm dividing roadway and pavement, but for people on wheel chair, they are really big obstacles. Traffic light became already red when we just crossed for 2/3 because the man had trouble crossing the road. I tried to help him to climb up? the bump that separates roadway and pavement but I couldn't do that easily, until a man who was near us came and helped me. It was really embarassing because I couldn't push the wheel chair. :'(

Ok I talked too much. Let's see some photos I took. :D

This is our uni's hall where the concert was held.

I'm not good at music but I really enjoyed listening to them.

Another photo of gig.

This is my uni, people come like it's a park and I like it

Japanese Hot Spring

This is second part of my Odaiba visit, we went to a theme park where you can experience old good days in Japan, wear yukata you like and have spa massages.

This is the entrance. I was soooo excited from the moment I saw it because it was soooo Japan!wooohooo!

This cute? creepy? doll welcomed us at entrance.
His mouth can move!
We took off our shoes there, paid for entrance fee..

and chose a yukata we like. Mine was no.9 with mustard obi(belt)! I thought pink one was the nicest but actually 7 was nice too. They have different sizes and I was s size because I am short. :(

Then we entered changing room for women.

It's written "female".
Don't know how to wear? Don't worry, it is written here how to wear yukata. :)

First of all, we went to take foot bath, it is in out side so we decided to have fish massage as well. It was soo painful because we had to walk on small stones and pebbles and the fish massage was quite exciting, we couldn't stop laughing watching fishes, they really liked one of us and dia je dapat ikan banyak gila. Then we enjoyed stone bath, it's a low temperature sauna and people lie on small crystal for 30min to 1hour. It was ladies day so we chose 1hour session but man, I sweat A LOT and got really tired so I gave up after 45min. I slept a little bit inside the sauna but when I woke up, my body and face were all wet, I got scared I sweat too much and die because of dehydration!lol

Then we walked around the theme park. Inside was like in Japan's traditional festival or omatsuri, have food and toys like in Syowa era.

There is a tower and river inside.

And a dog(not real one), barking so cutely<3

A mother and child having shaved ice. :)

Feel so nostalgic even though I was born in Heisei.lol

There were many games like in festival.

I saw this food for first time, lightly pickled cucumber, I think. It's so interesting! a cucumber!

Some Japanese sweets and snacks
Then we went to food court to have dinner

I had Tenpura with rice!

Isn't it cute??

The chairs are also Japanese style! how cool! It has tatami surface, not just normal cushion.

I really like the place, maybe I will bring my other friends next time. Rasa sangant best sebab dapat rasa macam pegi kat zaman dulu-dulu.

Odaiba day

salam, my dear friends who visit my unpopular blog. :)

I already got my new camera, alhamdulillah, it is still Panasonic Lumix but this time I chose GF2 because I really loved my previous GF1 camera. Though I don't really understand how to use its touch-screen focus yet. :p

Yesterday I went to Odaiba, with my friends. We went to Fuji TV station. The building has a sphere in it, and tourists like us can go there (pay 500yen) to watch view from there.

Fuji TV's building. Can you see the sphere?

Escalator to until 7th floor.
From 7th floor is free, anyone can go there. From 7, we went to 25th floor by escalator. It was quite scary because it is really high, 123.45m from ground!

Squid tomato pasta

Red tower in middle is the Tokyo Tower. They are building a new one, Sky Tree.

That tall tower in right hand side is that Sky Tree. or Sky Tower, meh I'm not really sure. :p

Autographs of soccer players from area affected by 3.11

Model house for anime "Sazae-san"

We had a good time chatting and updating our current "stories" *wink2*, then we went to a hot spring theme park near there. Gosh, it was really F U N!

I will upload photos more later, because I have to pack my things for my Korea trip. The trip is from 26th but I have to pack earlier because I'll work as assistant for TIBC(Tokyo International Bellydance Competition) 2011 on this saturday. woohoo I have been wanted to go to that competition since last year<3

what I found in Suidoubash

It says "don't throw away fish bones here"

Hijiri Bridge

This is the place that I like the most in Tokyo. It's amazing that there is a such beautiful place in center of Tokyo. I didn't put watermark on photos so that you can enjoy them sepenuhbya. :)

Summer Sale

Yesterday was such a joyful day for me. Although I had an Italian class at 10am, but it was fun and the teacher praised my hijab like usual *ehem* and I did a nice shopping!

It's already summer here in Japan, and you should know that summer in Japan is soooooooo torturing! I mean, I am form Malaysia, a tropical country and it's hot and humid throughout the year but it's even hotter and more humid in Japan! You will sweating like a glass with ice inside (no I don't want to mentioned that animal's name in my blog, lol) eventhough you are just standing there! If it's raining in Malaysia, the temperature will drop a little bit and we can enjoy a nice short nap in a rainy afternoon. But here, jangan harap la..tetap panas like in a sauna.. :'(

So I decided to go buy things that I will need to survive this summer. I bought cooling gel, cooling spray, blanket with towel-like fabric, white shirt and dresses. Why white? So that people around me do not ask me whether I'm hot or not. Oh please I SUPER HATE that question. It's summer, and summer is hot! It's not that because I wear hijab and clothes that cover all of my body, I'm the only one who will sweat and feel hot. Everybody is hot ok! perghh panass hati.hehe

Then I went to my nearest station's shopping complex. Actually I wanted to buy salt and blackpepper with mills. Nak rasa hebat ckit la time masak-masak nanti padah masak sume simple je. hehe Unfortunately they were sold out already so I just had a free coffee and bought prunes and spaghetti there.

like these. with mills. picture from google
Time frust tak dapat beli garam dgn pepper, I strolled around the building and did some window shopping. I saw a shop, Earth Music & Ecology with time-sale signs. I walked in to see some one-piece. At first I only wanted to buy one skirt, but when they told me the price, it was 50% off from price in price tag and plus 10% off from that!! So I macma orang dah kena pukau, pusing2 kedai tu and at last I spent about 17000yen for 6 pieces! memang langsung lari bajet but I like it<3

from google

Hasil pertarungan
I bought 2 skirts, a maxi dress, a blouse, a denim jacket, and a denim pants. That is from that shop. Kt kedai lain, beli jugak some pieces.hehe

So I am soooo happy noe because I have many clothes to wear this summer and it's all (almost) from brand that I like. I hope I can wear like a faithful muslimah with a touch of modern fashion. insyaAllah. Heat and pressure from peers can't make me to loose my faith. :)

Let's enjoy summer!!!
