tofu cupcakes

tofu cupcakes. really easy to make!
Yesterday I had a meeting with my usrah sisters. I didn't have money to buy anything to bring to the meeting so I woke early a little bit and bake cakes. It's really easy because I only had to mix up 300gram tofu, 200gram mixed flour, 20gram sugar and an egg. I put dark and milk chocolate and a little bit of maple syrup to add some taste. Result was so-so, not like surprisingly delicious but I will try this menu again next time if I don't have money to buy other ingredient. ;)

scones

Hari ni ada masa ckit sebab dapat balik awal dari university. Meeting for my club was cancelled so I baked chunky chocolate scones and make fried rice stock.

This is my first time to try this recipe so it doesn't look as nice as starbuck's scones. hehe

It looks messy but hey, I made it myself.:p
Then I made fried rice. Tak dapat jumpa perencah yang bes so try men campak perencah mee bandung. Hasilnya... jadi!! bau macam mee bandung tapi rasa tak la pelik sangat.

Today's dinner

baking 2

lately, I am really into scones! I found some easy recipes on internet, and it was really good. I only needed flour, butter, milk and some sugar. No special tool or skills. But it's not good for my diet. :(

chunky choc scone that I had in a cafe
I want to bake breads for tomorrow's brekkie but I lost (I want to believe that I just misplace it) a small part of the bread maker machine. so sad. :'(

Today I had Chai Tea and it was sooo nice? I thought chai is a kind of strange drink, since chai that I had for the first time had a really really strong spices flavour and smell, it doesn't taste like milk tea at all!(my friend explained to me before that, that chai is a kind of milk tea) Since then I don't have a good image of chai, but today I had a milky more sweeter one and really liked it!
Wanna have some when chatting with my girl friends. But again, milky sweet things are not good for my diet. waaaaa why all the delicious things are bad for health???

baking

Salam, guys. ;)

Recently, I started baking. Not cakes or muffins or pies, I bake breads! I know, it's not a cute hobby compared to baking cupcakes or brownies. But it is really practical because at my place, it's quite hard to find a halal bread. I'm not saying that it there is no halal bread at all, my just hard to find and limited choice. Here, there is not so many vegetarian so products sold in stores doesn't have "V" signs indicated for foods that suitable for vegetarians consumers. Moreover, people here reaaaaally love to put lard/emulsifier made from animal fats/shortening made from animal too/alcohol to make it tastier or smell nice. Sometimes we call the company to ask about ingredient.  I haven't make a call yet, because I'm really shy talking to unknown adults. LOL  By making a bread by myself, I can really sure that it's halal!

This is my second attempt. I tried "fluffy egg bread" recipe on guidebook. I put a little bit extra yeast so it grew bigger than what I got before this time.

Memang bes dapat bangun pagi-pagi bau roti. =)
